I’m pretty sure I’ll be spending the rest of the day thinking of books I should have put on this list, but here goes.

5. Speak  

6. The Outsiders

7. The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian

8. His Dark Materials

9. The Hunger Games trilogy

10. I Know This Much Is True

11. A Tree Grows in Brooklyn

12. A Series of Unfortunate Events

13. The Queen’s Thief series

14. Les Miserables

15. The Giver

These books either made me think, made me cry, or taught me something as a writer.  The best of them did all three. :D
