bohemea: Emmy Rossum I recently started watching Shameless (aaaand am almost caught up wow that was fast) and holy crap, Emmy Rossum is amazing in it. Every second she is on the screen, I am completely riveted by her performance of Fiona. I’ve never seen the British original, so I don’t know how the US show compares, and I don’t like everything about the US show either (I get it, I get it, it’s called Shameless, but Frank is 100000% unsympathetic in every way, which I’m sure is sadly realistic in a lot of ways, but from a storytelling point of view, it’s hard to pull off. I lose interest fast in all of Frank’s parts, which is a shame, because William H. Macy is obviously a great actor). However, all of the Gallagher children are played by amazing actors (well, I mean, the twins who play Liam don’t have to do much, but they’re cute), and for real, Emmy Rossum is almost inexpressibly brilliant.
